About Dr. Jinadu

Nusirat Jinadu, MD, is board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology and has been practicing for more than 13 years. As an honorable physician, she is an associate of the American College of Physicians, American Society of Nephrology, and the American Society of Transplantation, and a member of the American Medical Association.

Prior to taking up residency in the United States, Dr. Jinadu spent two years researching community health and refugee wellness amongst children in her native Nigeria. During that time, Dr. Jinadu also did a preliminary medical year at the University of Lagos and later graduated from the institution’s College of Medicine.

Dr. Jinadu completed her residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and became a nephrology fellow at the same hospital in 2011. Soon after that, Henry Ford Hospital made Dr. Jinadu the chief nephrology fellow, and during her time at the hospital, she also held a seat on the Henry Ford Nephrology Fellowship Recruitment Selection Committee. In 2013, the University of Illinois at Chicago chose Dr. Jinadu as a transplant nephrology fellow, where she served for one year before relocating to Maryland.

In addition to working in private practice at Metro Renal Associates in Washington, DC, Dr. Jinadu serves as a hospitalist at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in nearby Salisbury, Maryland.

When she’s not practicing, Dr. Jinadu enjoys cycling, running, reading, and traveling.
